I am a high elf - one that is good, kind, loves compositions of author’s writings, and nature. I
have long blonde hair, with a silver highlight throughout and eyes greener than the grass that
sparkle in the sun. I try to not engage with the craziness in our society here in Middle-Earth.
So instead, I tend to be a little closed off to everyone else. I engage when I feel comfortable,
but for the most part I like being a bystander and observing the scene from afar. People say
that this makes me stand out, meanwhile I am just being myself, trying to stay in the shadows.
I have also been told that my brain works differently than others. Which is why I guess I like
reading what other people have to say, especially in writing.
If you think about it, literature is so fascinating. The way that we just tie words together to
make sentences full of meaning. We use words to express ourselves, share our thoughts, tell
people how we feel, convey our wants and needs, and so much more. But one of the things
that I think is most important when it comes to either speaking or writing is our diction. It is
crazy how so many words have similar meanings and how words mean different things
depending on the context. The following I have observed as an avid poetry reader. I love
reading poetry! The way that you can just connect with the author and some of the works of
poetry out there is just so beautiful. Here is a clip of one of my favorite poems...
To my forbidden love,
I know they say we cannot meet
But what they don’t know is how much we speak,
Our words mean more to me than the sun
And I never want to be done,
Every moment with you I love
We are just like two turtledoves,
I hope one day they will see,
just how much you mean to me.
Work like this author’s amazes me. The rhyming couplets throughout and how relatable it is,
tugs at my heart. Who knows, maybe there is someone that I have my eye on in the village.
Perhaps one of the boys that helps their dad who is a craftsman. But for the most part, I like
living that aspect of my life through my fantasy works and poetry readings.
I hope that you day I will have the courage to live outside my shell. But in the meantime, I am
in my secluded village reading and being myself.
Yours truly,
Eira
I really appreciate the research done for this bio. I now have a good idea of what a high elf looks like, their shy personality, and their love for literature. I think it's awesome that you even included their favorite poem and gave the elf a name. Great ideas!
